PILATES

Pilates is an innovative exercise, in which we use a mattress and other equipment. These types of exercises were developed after Joseph Pilates’ principles, set out far more than 70 years ago.

The Pilates method is designed to increase strength and body flexibility. It consists of exercises designed to build not only flexibility, but also strength, stamina, coordination of legs, of abdominal muscles, of arms and back. Pilates focuses mainly on posture, especially the central area, involving the abdomen, the pelvis and the spine.

The method puts emphasis on increasing lung capacity and circulation through breathing. Improves posture, balance and bone density.
